part 21: The name and number of the beast

“Q: What is the significance of the number “666” and the name of the Beast?”

Q: What is the significance of the number “666” and the name of the Beast?
Q: Why is it impossible for those who worship the image and receive the mark to repent and be saved?
Q: How are FORCED INJECTIONS and DIGITAL ID conditioning the masses and paving the way for this system to arise?
Q: Why would a loving God allow this to happen? What is the purpose of the “mark”?
Q: Will the saints (believers) face this? If so, how can we be overcomers?
“Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he [the second beast] deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15 He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. 16 He also forced [caused] everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on [in] his right hand or on [in] his forehead, 17 so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. 18 This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s [the number of mankind] number. His number is 666.”
Note: The King James Bible has the better translation: [in] rather than [on] their hands, foreheads.
Note: The revised NIV uses the pronoun “it” rather than “he” for the beast.
Recap Part 1: Observations
1. The “mark” will occur during the last 3.5 years/42 months and the TIME that the “IMAGE (STATUE) of the Beast” is set up.
2. The “mark” is connected to FALSE WORSHIP of the IMAGE of the BEAST.
3. The “mark” is a CHOICE between (eternal) LIFE and DEATH
4. The “mark” will be both “VOLUNTARY” and NECESSARY to participate in society, to own property, to work, to buy and sell, etc.
There is historical precedent for this in the days when John received the Revelation. In the first century of the Roman empire, citizens were required to go to the temple and worship Caesar and the “other gods.” After worshipping, the citizens would receive a certificate or token “mark” to prove that they had worshipped. This was taken to the trade guilds and markets and would allow these “good” citizens employment and the ability to buy and sell in the marketplace. Christians refused to do this, and were marginalized and became outcasts of society. Eventually they were persecuted and even killed for their faith and their refusal to do this. Interestingly, one of the main gods that had to be worshipped was Asclepieion, the god of medicine, symbolized by a serpent wrapped around a staff.
5. The “mark” is an ECONOMIC CONTROL SYSTEM using modern TECHNOLOGY.
6. The “mark” will be located IN the RIGHT HAND or FOREHEAD.
John, who would have been familiar with the system that required an external proof of worship, such as a certificate or token, was clearly shown that this mark would be IN the right hand or forehead. “Show me your papers” goes under the skin.
7. The “mark” is a SYSTEM of IDENTIFICATION and COMMUNICATION (naming and numbering).
The Beast is NOT the Antichrist, and the number 666 is NOT the number of “a” man, as is popularly taught. Rather, the Beast represents a global NEW HUMANITY rising and the number 666 represents an ID system for mankind as a whole. Sounds a lot like a NEW WORLD ORDER…
The concept of naming and numbering in the Bible has to do with IDENTITY and AUTHORITY. The one naming and numbering has OWNERSHIP & AUTHORITY over what is being named and numbered. Once again, this goes all the way back to CREATION…
foundations laid in Creation:
God Gives Names, Numbers, and Boundaries: Gen. 1:1-2:25
God NAMED day and night, sky, land, and seas, and Adam, who came from the ground. That is important because the one who bestows a name is the one who has ownership and authority over the one being named. Note that Adam is the “federal head” of humanity - he is a representative of the human race.
God NUMBERED the days of the week.
God has also NAMED and NUMBERED the stars (Isa. 40:26), His people, and the generations (i.e., the Census, Book of Numbers; John 10:2-4; Jude 1:14). He has even numbered the hairs on our head. In Revelation, we read that God will give His people a NEW NAME (Rev. 2:17).
Note that it was ADAM, in Genesis 2:20, who gave names to the livestock, the birds of the sky, and all the wild animals, and in Genesis 2:23, Genesis 3:20, ADAM names the woman, “EVE.” (This is a picture of Christ and the church, Eph. 5:32)
God set BOUNDARIES between day and night; between water, earth, and sky; between birds and fish; and between animals and mankind, (made after the animals, in the image of God). He also placed boundaries between different types of FLESH (1 Cor. 15:39).
“And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good…31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.”
“Not all flesh is the same: People have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another”
This is important because the “theory of evolution” teaches that all flesh came from the same origins.
God also placed boundaries in the GENDERS (MALE and FEMALE). Only the marriage relationship between ONE MAN and ONE WOMAN is allowed to become ONE FLESH as a portrait of God’s relationship to His people—Christ and His bride, the Church (See Gen. 2:23-24; Eph. 5:31-32).
o This is why God gave the commandments not to murder or commit adultery and sexual immorality—they both violate the boundaries of our FLESH.
Adam - Federal Head of humanity
Adam was named by God, and numbered as the first man. He was also created to be Ruler of the Earth and all of creation as God’s image bearer (representative). He is the Head of Mankind. That is why when Adam sinned, all of creation fell, and we are all born sinners because we are all descendants of Adam. His sin is imputed to us because he is our “head.” (Prior to Christ/must be born again.) Adam was also made mediator between earth and heaven. Man was made greater than the animals, but lesser than the angels.
Psalm 8:5-8 CSB: “5 You have made him a little lower than the angels and crowned him with glory and honor. 6 You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet: 7 all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, 8 the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.”
The image of God and man
“Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground. 27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”
Q: How does 666 factor into all of this?
Adam was created on Day 6. Day 7 was reserved for God as a day of rest, completion and perfection. The number three is also representative of God as it reflect the trinity, Father, Son and Spirit. So we might say that God is 777.
Man was created on Day 6, and he was created in the image of our triune God. Therefore, man would be a “666” as reflecting the trinity of God in man. What does that mean?
Gen. 2:7 NIV: “Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground [body] and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (spirit), and the man became a [lit. living soul].”
Man is a 3-part being: BODY, SPIRIT and SOUL. (In Hebrew thinking, the soul refers to the heart, mind, will, and emotions.) MAN IS FULLY HUMAN WHEN HE POSSESSES ALL THREE.
Interestingly, in the fall of man, when Adam died, his spirit died immediately (he was separated from the life of God), his soul began to decay, and then his body died. In regeneration through Christ, our spirit is made alive in Christ (and we receive the Holy Spirit), sanctification begins (the process of remaking our soul in the image of Christ) and the redemption of our body when Jesus returns. Once again, we be fully redeemed Spirit-Soul-Body creatures made in the image of God. If we lose one of those, we are no longer fully human as God intended.
In Revelation, the beast is giving a new name and number to humanity, the 666, which says that something about mankind’s identity in his body, his soul, and his spirit is being re-fashioned in the image of the dragon instead of the image of God. The beast is seeking to corrupt man in his body, soul and spirit.
free will and THE intellectual capacity to choose:
“The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
God gave Adam a place to live, food to eat and work to do.
Man was given the intellectual ability and the FREE WILL to CHOOSE life or death. He was also given a COMMAND to obey to be in submission to God’s authority.
Man remains dependent on God for eternal life, and is limited in his knowledge. Only God is infinite in His knowledge.
The Deception of Satan
“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Notice that the temptation that Satan presented to Eve was the same temptation that Jesus overcame in the wilderness, and that I believe will be presented to mankind at the end of the age.

However, the mark of the beast takes away our God-given freedoms: the freedom to choose, the freedom to work, and the freedom to eat. Instead, he substitutes a satanic counterfeit whereby people will be offered eternal life, infinite knowledge, and becoming “like God” apart from the cross, apart from the blood of Jesus, apart from repentance and faith in His death and resurrection, and submission to Him as our Head, King, and Lord and Saviour. THIS IS WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT!
Christ: The second Adam and the Redemption of humanity
In Romans (Romans 5:15-19) and 1 Corinthians 15, we read that Christ is the “Second Adam.” The apostles understood that Jesus came to redeem fallen man from the sin of Adam. And that through the righteousness of Christ, man can once again be redeemed and can become a “new creation.” “Behold, I am making all things new…” (Revelation 21:5)
We need to understand that God is re-creating, in Christ, similar to how He created in the beginning. History is coming full circle. Jesus “is the head of the body, the church…” (Col. 1:18). Just as Adam was the head of the human race, Christ is the head of the body, the church.
“For he [Jesus] is our peace, who made both groups one and tore down the dividing wall of hostility. In his flesh [His physical body], 15 he made of no effect the law consisting of commands and expressed in regulations, so that he might create in himself one new man [2nd Adam] from the two, resulting in peace. 16 He did this so that he might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross by which he put the hostility to death.”
What is Paul saying?
God actually made a boundary between the Jewish nation and the gentile nations when He redeemed Israel out of Egypt and He made a nation for Himself. He gave them His laws and commandments that separated them the other peoples. But now that wall of separation has been broken down through the body Jesus, so that now it is by faith, and the finished work of Christ, that Jew and gentile are brought into the Kingdom of God.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ: Through the body and blood of Jesus shed on the cross, repentant sinners (Jew & Gentile) are redeemed and made ONE NEW MAN, ONE FLOCK. Because of that, we are given a NEW NAME, a NEW NUMBER, a NEW IDENTITY. (We are named and numbered among the redeemed.)
Col. 1:27: “To [the saints] God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
Col. 2:9-10 NIV: “For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.”
1 Cor. 3:16 CSB: “Don’t you yourselves know that you are God’s temple and that the Spirit of God lives in you?”
The Hope of the Gospel: (1) An eternal inheritance in the Kingdom of God, (2) a new heart/mind/soul, (3) the Holy Spirit living in us, and (4) a resurrection body!
1 Cor. 3:17 CSB: “If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, and that is what you are.”
The Anti-Gospel of The Antichrist (the mark)
The “hope” of the anti-gospel is the dragon/serpent (Antichrist) IN YOU, and the “hope” of eternal life APART FROM GOD. It will also promise you a new mind, a new body, a new mind and a new spirit, so that you can become “like God” (all-knowing, eternal) without God, without repentance and faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
I believe that this is what the Holy Spirit is warning on the pages of scripture from Genesis to Revelation: that the last satanic assault on the image of God is going to be just like the first. It is going to present man an opportunity to know all things, to have a body that will never die, and to become “like God” apart from God. And in receiving the mark, it will be irreversible, so that repentance and salvation become impossible.
The Antichrist will be the “HEAD” of a new humanity bearing the image of the dragon/serpent instead of the image of God!
2 Thess. 2:3-4 NIV: “3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.”
God’s temple (Gk. naos) = external temple building OR innermost holy place - this corresponds to the human body & soul!
Historical precedent: The Nephilim & corrupted flesh
“When mankind began to multiply on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of mankind were beautiful, and they took any they chose as wives for themselves. 3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not [remain in] mankind forever, for they are [corrupted flesh]; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.” 4 The Nephilim [lit. fallen ones, giants] were on the earth both in those days [the days of Noah] and afterward, when the sons of God came to the daughters of mankind, who bore children to them. They were the powerful men of old, the famous men.”
In Genesis, God promised that the seed of the woman would crush the seed of the serpent. I believe that the story in Genesis 6:1-4 was Satan’s attempt to corrupt man’s flesh and prevent the messiah from coming.
Matt. 24:37 NKJV: “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”
Matt. 24:22 NKJV: “And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.”
Transhumanism, Digital ID, and The New World Order

C19 became a turning point for surveillance, particularly surveillance under the skin. How did the government get access “under the skin” so that they could “hack” people?
CDC recently admitted that they are collecting our DNA
Adam was made from the dust of the ground, the “stuff” that this earth is made of. The number one element of the earth is Carbon12. Carbon12 has 6 protons, 6 electrons and 6 electrons (666 is written on every cell in every strand of DNA in the human body.) So it is very significant that they are talking about hacking and re-engineering the human body, particularly as it relates to “organic” and “inorganic” chemistry.
The TRANSGENDER movement is preparing people for TRANSHUMANISM
Atheist scientists will not hesitate to mix human and animal DNA.
There is evidence to suggest that Covid was engineered with snake (serpent) DNA.
“In the very same way, these dreamers pollute their own bodies, reject authority and slander celestial beings….10 these people slander whatever they do not understand, and the very things they do understand by instinct—as irrational animals do—will destroy them.”
The Consequences of Taking the Mark
“A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, 10 they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.”
Some FALSELY teach that believers (“saints”) will NOT SEE the mark of the Beast and, therefore, do not need to prepare to be OVERCOMERS.
Others teach that believers can take the mark and still be saved. That is a dangerous and unbiblical!
Overcoming the Mark of the Beast
Rev. 14:12-13: “12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”
Rev. 12:11: “They triumphed over him (the dragon/serpent, the devil, Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”
The Purpose of the Mark:
1. TEST hearts and minds, FAITH! Do we trust God’s Word and love for His people?
2. It is a Romans 1 type JUDGMENT on the wicked and unbelievers, who will receive in themselves the due penalty for their rejection of God, truth, and morality.
3. It is a JUDGMENT on apostates, hypocrites, and false professors of faith who will be exposed as such by this test (See 1 Peter 4:17-19).
4. Salvation of many tribulation martyrs (Rev. 7:9-10,13-14).
5. Prepare the Bride for her Bridegroom (Rev. 19:6-8)!
6. They will be martyr-witnesses to a watching world, and so through their death many will come to saving faith (See John 12:24-26) as the gospel is preached to all nations (Matt. 24:14).
7. The saints who are marked by God will overcome all this and, for the JOY set before them, inherit eternal life (Heb. 12:1-3; Rev. 15:2-3).

The WEF, governments and corporations want all humanity implanted with a brain-computer interface to connect everyone to the “cloud” system so that we can be monitored, manipulated, and controlled.
Klaus Schwab (2016): “Certainly in the next 10 years…we will implant them in our brains or in our skin. And in the end, maybe there will be a direct communication between our brain and the digital world. What we see is a kind of fusion of the physical, digital, and biological world.”
We will be promised “godlike” qualities of infinite intelligence, power, and “eternal life” apart from God. Once you download your mind to the “cloud,” you will live forever. These are the same lies Satan fed Eve in the Garden of Eden!

If free will, freedom of thought, and a person’s soul are eliminated, then they are no longer human! Jesus died once for all for humans, but not for transhumans, meaning these people will not be able to repent or be saved!
This answers the question of why those who receive the “mark of the Beast” cannot repent of be saved (Rev. 14:9-11), and it also fits with our present reality that is going to shape the world in the last days.
